SUNDAY CANCELLATIONS

An OTB employee who contacts BFO by Tuesday 12:00 (noon) to cancel Sunday work will not incur a penalty.

An OTB employee, who contacts BFO by Tuesday after 12:00 (noon) on two or more occasions, will forfeit the opportunity to work the next scheduled Sunday work assignment.

Employees who cancel a Sunday work assignment on Sunday or who do not report (Awol) may be subjected to disciplinary action, as well as forfeiting one work assignment.

It is the responsibility of each employee to call BFO/B.C.S. with their Sunday cancellation (including personnel who go on approved annual leave) or personnel who may be sick on Sunday.

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION

In emergency conditions, all employees are directed to listen between the hours of 6:a.m. to 9:30 a.m. to 1010 WINS (1010 on the AM dial) or WCBS(NYC television station2) to be guided by any information by any OTB closings or work change schedules. During such potential emergency conditions, employees are requested to call BFO Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8:15 a.m. (a.m. shifts) and 4:15 p.m. (p.m. shifts). On Sunday, you call BFO between 9a.m. (a.m. shifts) and 4 p.m. (p.m. shifts).

All OTB personnel scheduled to work after 5 p.m. have an obligation to contact their branch office or listen/watch to 1010 WINS (1010) or WCBS (2) between the hours of 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. concerning branch closings.

In addition to the above, all employees may call security at extension 5353, which is operational 24 hours a day.
