As of this date the DC 37 health and Security Plan benefits described in the most current DC 37 Health and Security Plan "Full-Time Employee Benefit Booklet" and this web page are available, however, given the explosive increase in prescription drug expenses the current benefit package is subject to change. As with all decisions regarding eligibility for and the amount of benefits payable under the Plan, the benefit allowances and guidelines are subject to change, at any given time and for any reason, by the Board of Trustees of the Plan, in its sole and absolute discretion. DC 37 Survivors Benefit-Upon the death of a covered member, the spouse and eligible dependents can continue to utilize the Health and Security Plan Benefits available to covered dependents for a period of twelve (12) months after the date of the member's death. The eligible dependents have the option to purchase Continuation of Benefits for an additional 24 months.

OTB Harassment Policy

 

OTB On-The-Job Death Benefit-Beneficiaries of OTBC employees are responsible for contacting the   Personnel Department, which serves as liaison between the decedent's family (or beneficiary) in arranging the payment of monies for the death of an employee while on-the-job.

Death of an employee while off the job is awarded accrued annual and comp time leave (no sick time) of the employee. Contact the union, pension and Social Security for other death benefits.
